Traditional healing, massage and beauty treatments have been in Malaysian and Asian culture for centuries. These were mainly performed by spiritual and gifted healers up to this day. Over the last decade, there has been a surge of individuals practicing these age old arts as their main occupation.
Our courses are designed to be very efficient, cost effective and quick to learn. Our intensive and part time courses enable you to start massaging in the shortest time.
Massage and bodywork is a hands-on skill. Unless you have 6 months to 3 years to complete a theory filled, exam oriented course, our courses are formatted to get you, with or without experience, straight into working on a personís body from your very first lesson. This is the most practical way to learn massage and bodywork.
Definition of Massage
Massage is a scientific method of manipulating the soft tissues of the body to have specific effect. Its objective is the restoration of function, release of tension and the re-establishment of the contours where this is desirable.
Massage Therapy is:
∑The holistic application of physical touch to affect the systems of the body; ie. the muscular, skeletal, digestive, elimination, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic, endocrine, emotional, mental and nervous systems.
∑It is the manipulation the soft tissues of the body with the hands for therapeutic, healing, relaxing and pleasurable effects.
∑It is the loving touch of the heart expressed through the hands.
